Brynn's News - Blog Edition

I thought I’d give you all an update on what’s going on.

As you know, Boy Toys came out in the Brit Party Anthology in May. It will be going to print and available at Total-e-bound in July. My other book to come out in May was Gentle Control. This was the 4th Cress Brothers book. I’m so excited to announce that I’ve just discovered it will go to print the summer along with the other Cress Brothers book. All the boys in one book! Whoo hooo! The date is pending. The anthology title will be Brotherly Bonds.

All the news seems to be about print today. I’ve just completed a rewrite and expansion of Fallen. It will be released in a Fallen Angel anthology this fall. Also in the anthology is Bronwyn Green and Charlotte Featherstone.

This July, Total-e-bound will celebrate their first birthday. As a celebration, they are releasing three birthday anthologies containing some of their bestsellers for the year. Tempting Tamera will be included in Volume 2. Tempting Tamera has done phenomenally. It was in Total-e-bound’s best sellers for over 2 months. Additionally, it hit number 1 at Fictionwise in their erotic romance category and number 3 at All Romance eBooks.

The Legend Anthology released this past Monday, June 30th at Total-e-bound. I have two stories in it, A Legend Arises and A Legend Accomplished. Also in the anthology are the awesome Carol Lynne, Lacey Thorn and Bronwyn Green. I feel so lucky to be in a book with the three of them.

In September, I have my first m/m book Single White Knight. In October, the next Circle of Three book will release. It will be called Phantoms’ Pleasure. It’s not a paranormal book, but another ménage taking place in Cranston. In November, I will be part of an anthology called Brits in Time. It is a medieval romance taking place in England and is titled, In the Dark.

Total-e-bound is running two contests right now. One is their blog contest (see yesterday's post). The other is a scavenger hunt. Find the letters hidden on each author's website and the completed sentence to Total-e-bound to enter for the prize. Now the prizes for these two contests are AWESOME. For the blog contests, three people will win the three birthday anthologies - 18 stories in all. For the scavenger hunt contest 1st prize is 12 books, 2nd prize is 6.

Legend Arises: Information, Blurb and Excerpt
Today I'm sharing A Legend Arises with you. Tomorrow I'll have A Legend accomplished. The Legend anthology is comprised of 5 books all entwined by a necklace. The necklace belongs to Emma, the heroine of A Legend Arises. It is placed in a bottle, along with a message, and tossed in the ocean. Each couple in the book finds the necklace and fate leads them to love.

Legend has it that long, long ago, a great knight fell in love with a fair maiden…

Emma knew her entire life that she’d eventually marry Ailig and be the lady in his castle. But she had dreams of freedom which weren’t befitting to a lady of her standing. Still she yearned for Ailig and the unknown of his arms. As Ailig’s wife she learns her true freedom is in his arms and bondage is the emptiness she feels when they’re parted. Instead of wishing for freedom, she fears for her love’s safety while he does his king’s bidding.

Though she endeavours to hide her apprehension, Ailig knows of his bride’s anxieties yet duty to king and country compels him. Before answering each call to service, he promises to safely return. But there are some perils that even a knight can't overcome...

“Emma!” Ailig Bennett bellowed as he left his horse in the care of his squire and rushed into his keep. Behind him, the ocean crashed against the shore at the foot of the hills where his keep had been built. He cared little for it or the oncoming storm. He pulled off his leather gloves as his eyes adjusted to the dim interior of the great hall.

Servants scurried around, lighting torches to break the oncoming darkness.

“Emma,” he called again. He headed towards the doorway at the back of the wall which would lead to the stairs spiralling to the upper chambers housed in the north tower. The solar was there and no doubt Emma, as well, as she bent over her stitching. He smiled at the thought of pulling his new bride into his arms and unravelling her carefully braided hair.

Would she welcome him with as much vigour as that which coursed through his veins? He’d left her behind on their wedding day, answering the urgent call of his king. On that day he’d hated his liege, but with King Henry’s contingent of messengers waiting, he had been unable to tarry.

Today, finally, he would be one with his bride.

Reaching the floor above the great hall, he strode towards his thinking chamber. Another set of stairs within it lead to the solar. “Emma,” he called more gently as he crested the top of the stairs.

His bride stood in the large chamber, her back to him as she stared through an arrow slot at the waves below. His breath caught at the sight of her long brown braids cascading to her slim waist. He could not wait to give the bride gift he had purchased for her on his journey.
She spun at the sound of his voice, a smile lighting her face.

Perhaps he could wait to gift her. He would wait until after they’d united. His manhood stirred beneath his heavy knee-length mail, lengthening and thickening in his need for his wife. He had waited so long for her, more than the months this latest call to duty had required. Emma had long ago caught his eye. He had curried her favour in the ways he had learned in the king’s courts until her green eyes shone with the love he felt in his middle.

“Ailig,” she exclaimed, dashing towards him. Her arms closed around his neck as he lifted her into his embrace. His mouth took hers as one hand lifted to bury in her hair, already pulling loose strands free. She tasted of honey and Emma. He groaned as his lips pushed hers apart and his tongue delved inside, scraping along hers as he reclaimed her sweet mouth. How he’d dreamed of the pleasure while he had been away, this one pleasure he had indulged before they were wed. This one pleasure he’d taken many times after they were wed, the last moments before the king’s messengers had dragged him away to his duty.

Emma made a small sound and pressed into him, her arms tightening around his neck. Unlike many noble marriages, theirs was a love match. Indeed, Emma had not been a noble until he’d taken her to bride. She’d been the daughter of a merchant in the village a short distance from the keep. Though he was noble, it had taken some time to claim her. Emma had feared marrying a knight and losing him to battle. As if to feed that fear, the king had called him away immediately. It had ripped at Ailig’s gut to see the terror in her eyes.

Have fun!
