Business Time

This a video called Business Time. It was put together by relevant church to promote their 30 Day Sex Challenge. I'm not making fun of them or their challenge. Actually, I think it's pretty cool. They have a great message. But the video cracks me up--it's meant to--and I wanted to share.

I had a fantastic chat last night at NovelTalk. The ladies over there are wonderful! Bronwyn and I loved it. We'd like to thank Dakota Rebel and Marie Haynes for joining us along with all the readers who came to talk. It was great!

Don't forget Fictionary!! Wanna win prizes just for having fun? Come play Fictionary with Carol Lynne and Brynn Paulin on Saturday February 23rd from 5 to 7 PM EST at Love Romances ebook Cafe. See a picture. Name the characters. Then make up a few sentences to go with the shot – one liners are welcome. This isn’t English class. You won’t be graded on sentence structure. All that’s required is creativity and the desire to have fun. Oh and did we mention prizes galore? We’ll have a metal book mark, bracelets, BOOKS! and a $20 Starbucks gift certificate. FICTIONARY! 5 PM EST. At:

Speaking of creative, swing over to Bronwyn's blog and check out her pottery. Pretty stuff. I'm lucky enough to have several of her pieces at my house, including a mermaid she once made me and a lovely mug in my favourite shade of blue. She's very talented.

Another talented one...Congrats Jennifer Armintrout on your part in Assassins. Way to go! I've posted the special picture to the left in your honour. I know how you love the Hoff. By the way, there are several requests to be part of the Alan Rickman literacy project. We'd like you to coordinate in your spare time. Thank you.

I'm helping! I found his address for anyone interested in contacting him for the Literacy Project.

Contact Alan:
Alan Rickman
c/o Duncan Heath
I.C.M. Oxford House
76 Oxford St.
London W1D 1BS

By the way, I think we should take this as seriously as possible. We need to get all of the romance writers involved and perhaps Alan will cave and read to us. How hot would that be? Exactly, VERY HOT.

Thank you for letting me come out and play last night. Today I am back in my dungeon where I am not famous, just a corporate slacker dealing with automotive A-Holes.

OOOOHHHH...Dakota's a internet stalker in her spare time...this is excellent!!!

That picture of Hoff is AMAZING and Business Time made me howl. Have to show it to the hubby.

You rock, Ms. Brynn!

I'm really more focused on the "Kidnap David Lee Roth And Force Him To Show Me Where The Treasure Is" campaign right now.

BTW, the song from the video is Business Time by Flight of the Conchords.

What a weird coincidence since Dakota's beentalking about them and I've never heard of them...

OK, so we need someone else to work on the Alan Rickman Literacy project. (Dakota seems to have this well in hand, lol -- Good work D)

And what? No comment on the Hoff? I'm crushed.

Brynn Paulin said...

Dakota, thanks for coming to play. It was great.

Beware of dragons in the dungeon.

Bron: I hope Mr. Bronwyn liked it.

Fictionary sounds like a lot of fun. If I'm back from the softball tournament I may come for a bit. I have some editing to finish that I'm behind on...

Yes! I spent quite a while laughing hysterically with my friend Jane while we discussed Business Time. Very, very funny. Thank you for posting it!

That was hysterical!

OMG! The sad part of Business Time is that 99.9% of housewives around the world can relate ;)

When she's doing the recycling and he's talking about sex. I swear that was a shot from our house!! LOL

Business Time video: Too funny!

Love the video - true but sad. As for the pastor who is proposing the 30-day challenge, I wonder if he thought this through. Depends what he defines as sex, but if he is talking Church vanilla style, some of those days might get a little messy.

Well, whatever. Takes all sorts. And on top of that, he did not actually specify who the married folk had to have sex with...

LOL!!! LOVED the video but wondering what purpose a church had in putting it out.

Sorry I missed out on the Fictionary fun last night! Logged on just as it was winding down. Any plans to do it again?

I guess the church is encouraging more sex within marriage because couples with a good and active sex life are more closely bonded and less likely to divorce. That's something we can all relate to.

Congratulations to them for being so clear-eyed and practical about it. The self-important old men who run most religions usually make fools of themselves when it comes to dealing with sex.
